The apartment house Jagoda is situated on the western side of the cove of Lumbarajsko Račišće, 40 met. from the sea shore, 1 km from the village of Lumbarda, 4 km from the town of Korčula. The house is surrounded by pine trees, has a large outdoor area, BBQ area and a garden with vegetables which are available for your use free of charge. Your hosts Mr. and Ms Barcic invite you to experience both the beauty of the region and their hospitality. As a special service the Barcic family offers breakfast and/or dinner in their main building nearby. You can enjoy typical Dalmatian dishes, the ingredients of which are mostly of own biological production. Homemade red and white wines as well as brandies are included. At weekends Mr. Barcic regularly organizes fish picnics at the neighboring islet of Badija. Throughout the winter season all apartments are offered at special prices.

Das Apartmenthaus Jagoda befindet sich in herrlicher Lage inmitten von Pinien auf der Westseite der Bucht von Racisce in Lumbarda. Das Haus liegt etwa 40 m vom Strand entfernt. Zum Ortkern von Lumbarda fahrt man ungefahr 1 km, zur Stadt Korcula ca. 4 km. Zur Bushaltestelle geht man 3 Minuten. Alle Apartments sind entweder mit Terrasse oder grossem Balkon ausgestattet. Ein Grillplatz steht ebenso fur Sie bereit. Das Gemuse des hauseigenen Gartens steht allen Gasten kostenlos zur Verfugung. Ihre Gastgeber Hr. und Fr. Barcic laden Sie herzlich ein ihre Gastfreundschaft in dieser wunderschonen Region zu geniessen. Als besonderen Service bietet die Familie Barcic auch Fruhstuck und/oder Abendessen in ihrem nahe gelegenen Haupthaus. Ein grosser Teil der angeboten typisch dalmatinischen Hausmannskost sowie die hervorragenden Weine und Schnapse stammen aus eigenem biologischen Anbau. An Wochenenden werden regelmassig Fisch-Picknicks auf der benachbarten Klosterinsel Badija organisiert. Wahrend der Wintersaison werden die Apartments zu besonders gunstigen Konditionen vermietet.

On my first visit the Barcic family in Lumbarda I did not expect such a hearty welcome. Instead of jumping into business right away, which was photographing their accommodation facilities, they gave me a demonstration of their typical hospitality. In the shade of their terrace they served their homemade specialties such as red and white wine, rose schnapps, goat cheese, salted fish and Prsut (raw ham). In this relaxed atmosphere I got to know Mrs. Jagoda and Mr. Petar Barcic. Later on some of their guests joined us and my work was further delayed. I understood that computers and the internet are not very important to these people who live in a neighborhood that offers an atmosphere of recreation and relaxation to hurried city people.
