On the western part of the island of Korčula in the gulf of Vela Luka, there is a bay named Kale which has a special healing mud - liman. Vela Luka is famous for its mild climate which together with the healing mud was the main prerequisite for the construction of health resort "Kalos".
By means of application of natural factors, modern medical science and modern medical techniques, the following deseases can be treated successfully in the health resort "Kalos":
  • all kinds of chronically rheumatism - inflammatory and degenerative
  • painful neck, pectoral and lumbocacral spine syndromes, discopathias (lumboischialgias, brachialgias and pareses)
  • all kinds of post-traumatic states of the locomotoric system (injuries of bones, joints, muscles, tendons and nerves)
  • post injury states, vascular insults and neurocerebral system diseases
  • spinal column deformations (kyphoses, scolioses and hyperiordoses)
  • cerebral paralysis and other locomotoric systems injuries in children
  • all kind of locomotoric system postoperative states

It is also possible to practice preventive rehabilitation for those who work in bad working conditions, following the programs lasting 10 days, 2 weeks or 3 weeks.

Na zapadnom dijelu otoka Korčula u zaljevu Vele Luke u uvali Kale nalazi se ljekoviti mulj - liman. Vela Luka je poznata kao područje izvanredno blage klime koja je uz ljekoviti liman bila glavni preduvjet za izgradnju lječilišta "Kalos". Primjenom prirodnih faktora suvremene medicinske znanosti i moderne medicinske tehnike u lječilištu "Kalos" uspješno se liječe slijedeće bolesti:
  • sve vrste kroničnog reumatizma - upalnog i degenerativnog
  • sva posttraumatska stanja sustava za kretanje (ozlijede kostiju, zglobova, mišića, tetiva i živaca)
  • stanja poslije ozljeda, vaskularnih inzulta i bolesti cerebralnog živčanog sustava
  • bolni sindromi vratne, grudne i lumbosakralne kralježnice, discopatije (lumboischialgije, brachialgije, pareze)
  • deformacije na kralježnici (kifoze, skolioze, i hiperlordoze)

U Zavodu se provodi i preventivna rehabilitacija za radnike koji rade u nepovoljnim radnim uvjetima, a prema programima koji traju 10 dana, dva tjedna, tri tjedna.
