| OCEANS AND SEAS IN VISUAL ARTS EXPRESSION OF THE YOUNG Lisbon, July 15th - 31st Zagreb, Oct 12th - 30th |

| This year, not only scientists and others
engaged in the protection of the natural heritage of the Earth have focused their
attention on seas and oceans, but also teachers and students in their quest for the
protection of these important source of life and beauty for the future. This international
exhibition, which has been organized jointly by professional associations of visual arts
education and INSEA councils in Portugal and Croatia to be presented in both capitals
Lisbon and Zagreb, reflects children's love for, and genuine interest in, the water
resources of our planet. The motive and, at the same time, incentive for this unique event to take place is that the United Nations has proclaimed 1998 as the Year of Seas and Oceans, Heritage for the Future. |

| Countries participated: Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, The Philippines, Croatia, Italy, Lithuania, Hungary, Malta, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Sweden. From Korcula three works are selected: (Primary school "Petar Kanavelic" - Korcula, mentor: Mr. Abel Brcic) Jerko Segedin, Suncica Fabris, Dina Nobilo (daughter of famous painter Stipe Nobilo). |
