Situated at the very end of the peninsula of Peljesac, LOVISTE has already become a regular holiday resort for many tourists. Before the inhabitants from this century, there were here the guardians who were putting on fire on the top of Peljesac showing the way to the seamen.
Until recently it could be only reached by sea from Korcula, but a new asphalt road has made it accessible to the modern tourists and excursionists. Founded in 1885. Loviste and its hamlet of Mirca, has long been a calm dwelling place for its hard-working inhabitants: farmers and fishermen.
Two kilometers from Loviste in the picturesque cove, the apartment settlement BILI DVORI were built in the form of a Mediterranean city square, with shops, restaurants and all other conveniences. This is the first phase of this small city, which along with it's modern design, completes the picture of traditional Loviste.
